As soon as my tax refund hits the bank. I have an hvlp turbine but no gun other than a tank type and will be spraying nitro and trying out some water based finishes. So, I would like to see what others are using, why they like or dislike them, and any spray cap suggestions.
I just need full hvlp only, no conversion guns please and hopefully under $400.

I'm very happy with this fellow. http://www.woodessence.com/Walcom-EGO-H ... 13C54.aspx It does everything I want it to do for instrument work including the alcohol based burst I just did. Dialled the gun down and it worked great. I use a 1.2 mm tip. Good to for you guys to be buying out of Canada. You get an extra 10 cents on the dollar.

If you already have compressed air this is the best gun I have found for doing small things like guitars.

Thanks Howard,
I do have a compressor, but it's an old leaky clunker that stalls the motor if I don't shut it down first. I've learned how to work around it's issues but a couple of years ago a friend gave me a 4 stage turbine so I built a cabinet around it and have been wanting to buy a gun for it.
Looks a little like an Apollo only blue.

Thanks Todd,
My turbine does have a bleeder port and I've attached a piece of hose to extend it outside of the cabinet and it does work. Also I bought the hoses from Phelps refinishing so I think I'm ready for a gun now. The Dear Leader says He will gift me a refund this year( yikes! did I just set myself up for an audit?).

Brazil 66,
Your name reminded me of Sergio Mendes and his Equinox LP, one of my favorites from my youth.

Yes! In addition, you can expect calls from the FBI and OSHA!
